Overseas pathway, for the better?

Tonight, i got myself glued on the computer again, while tw is busily completing his work from home. Managed to sent some keep-in-touch msges to my old frens, some may reply, some may not reply. yet i tried to keep the "yello, how are u messages" going.

Then, i came across some blogs belonging to my friends & close ones and made me wonder if being away to another nation, over the sea, is a worthwhile experience. i myself experience a short 4 months trip in sheffield, uk. yet that's long enough to share my opinions here.

To me, its an entirely different experience if u adventure this opportunistic journey alone. some may want to stick to the the whole-gang-going-overseas-tgt experience, but i took the different path for once. away frm my good best friends, i flew alone. i must admit, i bring along a lot of sorrow (i js din tell many friends that) but i also bring along a lot of excitement to the unexpected experience in an country that is so alien to me. some doubted my decision, but i stick to it. one month later, i flew.

Does not mean that being overseas urself is a mistake. a wrong decision. not at all. a lot of us hv gone through this as part of our life. it just make u Stronger. Wiser. an Achiever. U can tell more meaningful stories to ur grandkids in future, as u observe a Wider experience, go thru the joy n pain' Entire process and heal along with it, solve ur Own bitterness and tackle the Small Devil in ur heart, that keep on telling u it's a wrong decision u made, and urging u to return to ur old past.

well, looking back to the past is never gonna help u to move forward. yes, we can all thnk back of the good memories, but then the old memories wont be relived to the present/ the future js by thinking back. my advice, js do not question of ur decision of where u are now, stick to what u hv decided, and move forward. any comments from those staying abroad/ once stayed abroad?

i still think we should question ourselves on the decision we make. tts all.. no point not knowing and yet doing it . seems worthless to a certain extend if we blindly move forward. its like holding on no nothingness... just my 2cents

somehow my msgs just wouldnt appear..lets try again

i always think that you are a strong and independence girl as expected from a scorpio.. :)
To me..i believe in myself and thus will implement whatever i have decided in my mind..it's absolutely correct that a person should always look forward in his/her life, however one shouldn't place ignorance as to the past, coz what you are today represents how you acted in the past..and what you will become tomorrow depends on how you carry yourself today.. In short..life experience is valuable and never to be forgotten ya~

ya, wanna add on to ur points, KE. tat we should never forget to think before we act. cuz that's being stupid, not lazy and put u to a disadvantage. must weigh all the pros and cons before moving fwd.

i used to be the other way round, when i was young. my family claims i had fickle mindedness (which i always disagree). till i reach a point that i wasnt acting like that anymore.

well lets' js say that they grew me fine enough for me to think and decide on my own, but sometimes they hv to bear the consequences from my actions taken also! lolz.

ok, sounds like im living under my parents' shadows for years. well, many other Malaysian kids are brought up this way also. were we given too much pampering for too many years by our parents, up to age 18 when we start college, compared to kids back overseas? was that the reason why most M'sian kids are brought up to be shy and overdependent? who/ what is to be blamed for our lack of social skills?

p/s to KE: wht u mean by only specific a/c holders can post in my blog? whr did u manage to find that out, cuz i dont seem to c the settings here la...

rgds,

dear keat h,

what if our past is a pain and sorrowful, and meant to be left?
we should not forget/ remove the pain isnt it?

how are we going to use the past experience to help us in present?

care to explain further? =)

rgds, pao.

Hi pao the past is past. Pick up important lesson, get up, be strong and start a new life. Ideally thats how it should be isnt it.. :P

I dont think it is right to to say every malaysians are like that. XD. and really no one is to be blamed. We are all brought up in different environment and it is again up to us to decide what is wrong and right. Probably some ppl are fortunate to be borned in a 'right' environment , gearing them up to face their future easier some might not but they will learn and experience more before achieving what they deem to be correct.

feel free to correct me if im wrong. Gambateh ! oh yeah, in some ppl's blog i can just use random nick to post a msg. hmm nvm~
